Who we are

Our website address is: https://freeministryresources.org
Free Ministry Resources provides free educational material for the teaching of Christian beliefs and practices. We also offer tips and resources for those serving the Lord in any ministry. There is no charge whatsoever for downloading and using these materials.
We take privacy and security of collected data very seriously. Using this site means that you agree to the policy set out here.

We make available a wide variety of material and information that is free for you to access and which we hope helps you in your Christian ministry.
The Free Ministry Resources site collects anonymous data about site visitors to help us know what resources you find most valuable, so we can create more of them.
The information collected allows us to know that our pages and blog posts are being accessed, and our materials are being downloaded. We can’t trace it back to you. It’s anonymous.
See below for the type of info we collect and how it is used, as well as what you can do if you have a concern.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Anonymous Information Collected

An IP address is an anonymous bit of data dropped by all site visitors (both human and bots). It is tracked by the following entities for better security, content creation, and marketing purposes.
Your browser may also send response headers with generic/anonymized information about the type of browser, computer/device, and ISP you are using, and your location by country only.
The privacy policy of each entity that collects this information is linked below, if you would like more info about them.
Google Analytics – so we can discover the type of content you find most helpful and create more of it. (Note: Google does not have access to this data.)
Iridium Hosting – kept in the server logs so the host can identify and stop bad bot attacks.
Cloudflare – so this Content Delivery Network can identify and stop bad bot attacks.
YouTube – if you view a YouTube embedded video on the site, the IP info is sent to YouTube to record that the video has been viewed, just as it would if you had watched it directly on YouTube.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

We use a contact form plugin. This captures your name and email address. The information you submit is used solely to respond to website inquiries or comments. It is deleted within a month. We do not use this information for marketing purposes. It is never passed on to any other entity.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Data Backups

Data backups are provided by Updraft Plus and Amazon Web Services.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
